Be the one to light the way

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."  Hebrews 10: 23-25

We were put on this Earth to do life together and to support one another. The truth is we don't do much of that. When someone hurts us or does wrong by us it's hard to want to do good deeds for them or love them. I will be the first to tell you forgiveness is something i'm barely getting the hang of. 

Take a minute and think about the bad days and hard times and also the good times wouldn't it be incredible if you could be there for someone who has done you wrong in their hard times? How God honoring is that? To love someone despite what they have done to you. 

"If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.  If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.  If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing." 1 Corinthians 13:1-3

If we can't love our fellow brother or sister in Christ in their time of need who will? We need to put aside our pride and humble ourselves and reach out in forgiveness and love. Maybe you aren't ready to talk to this person yet pray for them! I can not even begin to explain to you the power of prayer and when you are ready reach out and be a reflection of Christ love. You can be the one who helps them. You may have the answer they've been searching for. Just step out in faith and pray both hearts are in a good place to receive Christ love and forgiveness.
